The Deer Sam’s Chapter was Chosen “International Chapter of the Year” and “Chapter of the Year” for Utah in 2008.  They showed off their new light blue shirts at the Utah State Samboree at Nephi.  They boast 22 Couples in their Chapter and enjoy camping, service to others, donating to Ronald McDonald House, and Schriners Hospital to mention a few.  During 2009, the Chapter donated a total of 13,269 service hours in addition to $46.80 to Humanitarian Aid, $200.00 to Dogs for the Deaf, $400.00 to Shop With a Cop, $500.00 to Utah Food Coalition, $200.00 to Children in Mexico, $100.00 to Schriners Hospital and $250.00 to Reel Recovery in honor of our deceased member, Gerald Goetz.

The Chapter donated 11.99 miles of pop tabs to Ronald McDonald House.

Winter Meeting Schedule: Once a month we meet for Dinner or Lunch. The two couples  in charge select time, date and place.

Summer Campout Schedule: Once a month we meet for a 2-4 day campout at various campsites.  In October we draw for the turns. Two couples, decide where we go,  when, and what we do.

Once a year our club tries to plan what we call a "Special Event", which includes a week long trip to a fun place to camp and travel around seeing special sites and new activities. We have had some spectacular times doing this.  In  September 2004 we went on a trip to the Escalante Staircase area and the town of Escalante.
